National Museum of Ireland

The National Museum of Ireland has four locations:

• Collins Barracks, Dublin city
• Kildare Street, Dublin city
• Merrion Street, Dublin city [closed for renovations]
• Turlough Park, Castlebar, Co Mayo

Quiet Time/ Sensory Friendly Time

Collins Barracks and Turlough Park also host a Quiet Time/ Sensory Friendly Time on the last Saturday of each month, from 10-11am. During this hour, lighting in the galleries will be softened and audio-visual effects will be reduced where possible. In any galleries where this is not possible, signage will be put up outside to let people know that there might be loud noises as part of an exhibition. The on-site cafes will also have a quiet hour.
